Northern Plains Massage

About Kyler

My name is Kyler Collom, and I’m the owner of Northern Plains Massage in Minot, North Dakota.

I was born and raised in Minot, and this area has always been home. I graduated from the massage therapy program at Spectrum School of Massage and have spent more than three years working professionally as a licensed massage therapist. Over that time, I’ve worked with clients looking for everything from relaxation and stress relief to deeper, more focused work on areas that have been bothering them for a long time.

My approach to massage is pretty straightforward: listen first, communicate clearly, and do the work in a way that fits what the client actually needs that day. Some people come in because they want to relax and reset. Others need deeper pressure, maintenance work, or focused attention on specific areas like the neck, shoulders, back, hips, or legs. I try to keep the experience professional, respectful, and practical.

Outside of massage, I stay active in the community in a few different ways. I’m involved with The Dakotan, where I’ve spent time covering and discussing local issues, public meetings, history, and the kinds of stories that shape Minot and North Dakota. That work has made me appreciate how much local businesses, local relationships, and community trust matter.

I’m also a junior high football coach in Surrey, where I went to high school. Coaching has given me a deeper appreciation for how much physical strain people put on their bodies, whether it comes from sports, work, long hours, or just daily life. It also reinforces a lot of the same values I try to bring into massage: consistency, communication, effort, and attention to the fundamentals.

Northern Plains Massage is open to anyone comfortable working with a male massage therapist. My goal is to provide a calm, clean, professional space where clients can step away from the noise for a while, get focused work, and leave feeling like the session was built around them.

At the end of the day, Northern Plains Massage is built around a simple idea: good work, honest communication, and a quiet place to take care of yourself.
